Conference Venue
The conference is being held in the ILR Conference Center on the Cornell University campus in Ithaca, NY.
If you are driving to Ithaca we recommend parking at your hotel and arranging for transportation to campus. Transportation from the two hotels we have booked is by convenient bus service every 10 minutes from downtown to the Cornell campus. See below for more details.
Getting to Ithaca
We recommend following Cornell's getting here page for driving directions, as well as other transportation options.

The local bus service, TCAT bus route 10, runs every 10 minutes from 7 AM to 7 PM from downtown to Cornell's campus. The fare is $1.50 per trip.
Board at the Seneca @ Commons stop (#3 lollipop marker) and take it to the Sage Hall stop.
- From there, walk north (back the way the bus came) along East Ave, taking a right on Tower Road (first stop sign).
- Then walk east to the next intersection (a stoplight), and turn right on Garden Ave.
The ILR Conference Center (picture) will be on your right.
- Return to downtown can be accomplished by boarding the Route 10 bus at the Sage Hall stop and getting off when it reaches the Seneca @ Commons stop
Ithaca is a fairly small town. Walking from the downtown area to the conference venue can be a nice way to start the day. Be warned, however, that one of Ithaca and Cornell's major features is the 400' vertical elevation change between downtown and Cornell's campus. Google Maps says the walk takes 33 minutes uphill and about 21 minutes downhill. That sounds about right.
Parking on Campus
If you would like to park on campus be warned that visitor parking is limited, can be pricey, and can require a long walk or a bus ride to get to the conference venue. More information is available on Cornell's parking site.
Lunch Suggestions
Meals aren't included in HighEdWeb (just light snacks and beverages), so you'll want to find lunch on your own or with fellow attendees before the conference starts on Thursday, and after we wrap up on Friday.
